Hope Kit Packing Party with Tina’s Warriors – October 2024
In October 2024, Brown Girls on a Mission partnered with Tina’s Warriors to host a powerful Hope Kit Packing Party in Orlando, Florida. This heartfelt event brought together a passionate group of volunteers to assemble HOPE Kits—thoughtfully curated care packages designed to uplift and support women undergoing breast cancer treatment. Each kit included essential items and personal touches aimed at bringing comfort during one of the most challenging times in a woman's life.
The event was led by Tina Valbh, breast cancer survivor and founder of Tina’s Warriors, who organized her first Hope Kit initiative in Orlando to expand support for patients nationwide. The partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) played a key role in the event’s success, helping to distribute the HOPE Kits to women across the country.
We were honored to welcome an esteemed panel of speakers, including Dr. Kavita Pattani, Dr. Anu Saigal, and Dr. Sheetal Patel for their inspiring presence and commitment to the cause.
Hosted by Brown Girls on a Mission, the event was a powerful display of community, compassion, and collaboration. Together, we created kits of hope, shared stories of strength and survival, and built a stronger network of support within the South Asian community and beyond.
